Dr. Mark R. Belsky is a retired hand surgeon turned author whose real world medical expertise adds pulse pounding realism to his thrillers. A New Jersey native, Dr. Belsky graduated from the University of Pittsburgh before completing his medical training at Tufts Medical Center, NYU Bellevue Hospital, Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, and Roosevelt Hospital in New York. He went on to build a distinguished forty year career in the Boston area, developing a thriving clinical practice and serving for twenty-seven years as Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

His experience in one of the most technically demanding surgical specialties, hand surgery, taught him precision, discipline, and the human limits of endurance. Those same qualities shape The Max Dent, MD Adventures, a gripping thriller series that merges medicine, espionage, and moral conflict. Dr. Belsky has co-authored thirty-one peer-reviewed medical publications, written eight book chapters, and co-founded The Hand Forum, a national study group for hand surgeons. Now, through fiction, he explores the boundaries between healing and harm, science and secrecy, truth and survival.
